Peer Volunteer Program

Whats more fun than sliding on snow? Sliding with friends of course!

Many younger people with disabilities often miss out on the social benefits of group experiences. Our peer volunteer program seeks to create age appropriate relationships between youth with disabilities and their peers without disabilities.

Volunteer opportunities for youth ages 12-14

Peer volunteers are  intermediate "blue" trail skiers or snowboards. Peer volunteers are expected to be independent,  and can be trusted to set a good example of following the  "Skiers/Snowboards Responsibility Code".

Peer Volunteers are assigned to an age and terrain appropriate lesson that is lead by a lead volunteer instructor. Their role is to provide social interaction with the student and to provide peer support and encouragement.

Peer Volunteers are required to have their own equipment, including helmet.

Commitment levels start at 6 days a season.
